Lt. Jack Carson has been with the Anchorage Police Department for over 22 years. During that time he has been an Investigator, Supervisor and Commander within Anchorage Police Department’s drug units. Carson has been keeping our streets safe from drugs for almost two decades.
Lt. Carson was born and raised in Tok, Alaska and graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice prior to getting hired by the Anchorage Police Department in 2000. Lt. Carson has served in Patrol, Safe Streets Task Force, Special Assignment Unit, Community Action Policing, Internal Affairs, Vice and SWAT. He has also testified for the State of Alaska as a drug expert on several occasions. He now currently leads the Federal Task Force and Alaska’s HIDTA (High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area). The unit’s mission is “to enhance and coordinate America’s drug-control efforts among local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in order to eliminate or reduce drug trafficking and its harmful; consequences in critical regions of the United States. |
