Lori joined the Washington State Chiropractic Association (WSCA) in 2001 as Lobbyist and Membership Director. In 2003, she took on the additional role of Executive Director while continuing her lobbying work. Over the years, she has played a pivotal role in passing landmark legislation for the chiropractic profession in Washington state.
Lori brings extensive experience in health care policy and advocacy. Her diverse background includes work as a private practice massage therapist, a national board member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and a key contributor to licensing laws for massage therapy in multiple states. She has also served as a health policy advisor at the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, testified before the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and held legislative and policy roles with her labor union since 1981.
In 2018, Lori stepped down from her role as Executive Director to refocus on chiropractic policy. She remains a passionate advocate for the profession and continues to prioritize chiropractic in her work.
Outside of her professional life, Lori is an avid cyclist, serves as the International Parliamentarian for the Airstream Club, enjoys traveling, and lives in Tacoma with her husband, Bryan.
